The Best Christmas Gift

If you cannot tell by my lack of in-depth posts, it has been a busy week. Matt and I have driven all over Mid-Michigan to finish our paperwork. The good news is that we are closing on our first house on Tuesday.

Next Tuesday!

We can move in as soon as the owner leaves.

Which means we are moving in a week before Christmas...on top of working our jobs.

It is worth it.

I feel blessed.

Thrifty Finds: Star of Wonder

This will be my first Christmas as a married woman. Although I have had little inclination to decorate in the past, this year I am excited to decorate for the holiday. I keep imagining heartfelt (and handmade) decorations on a tree and mantle. In my musings I imagine us sitting in front of a fireplace on this sofa. Now we just have to find (and buy) a house.

I found this tin star at the thrift store. Its original purpose is a mystery, but I am going to wrap ribbon around its base to attach it to the top of my Christmas tree.

New product: Crocheted Star Garland

Behold! With Eyes Lifted has a new product line: Crocheted Star Garlands.

Meant to be displayed over a mantle or doorway, the garlands are approximately 6 feet long and are available in two colors: silver and gold. They are hand-crocheted in cotton with an original pattern.
