An Unusual Start

We had an unusual January 1st in Michigan. At midnight, my boyfriend and I stood outside to greet the new year; it was easy to pretend it was spring. Today we had sunny skies and temperatures in the low 50's.

Usually Mid-Michigan is under a foot or more of snow by now. The break in the weather caused the snow from our first winter storm to melt completely.

It's too bad the weatherman predicts cool temperatures and light snow for tomorrow. I'll just have to remember spring is only a couple months away.
