Summer Garden

I planted tomatoes on Wednesday. I had bought them on sale at The Home Depot over a month ago, but it's only in the last few weeks that I felt they could withstand our Michigan weather.

I am not sure where I am going to put in my raised garden, so I am using containers this year. I planted one of the tomatoes in the bag of soil because I ran out of planters. 

Since my mom is growing larger tomatoes such as Beefsteak, I picked three smaller types: Early Girl, Roma, and Hybrid Cherry.

I want to grow a couple other vegetables this year. I bought a cucumber plant from the Jackson Grand River Farmers Market yesterday, and I hope to get a pepper and zucchini plant in the next few days.
