Purrfect Lazy Sunday

It has been a while since Misty graced my blog. Matt, Misty and I spent a lazy Sunday together today. It felt good to not feel rushed. I worked on new products for With Eyes Lifted; I hope to reopen my shop soon.

As the sun started setting, Misty found the perfect opportunity to pose. She looks forward to her future features on a Shimmering Star.

Etsy Finds: Vintage Bookends

I cannot tell you how many books I own; over half of my collection is in storage, and I cannot seem to stop purchasing them. As Matt and I get closer to buying a house, bookshelves are on my mind.

And with bookshelves come bookends. Etsy is a treasure trove of vintage finds; any of these sets would enhance our library.

Etsy Finds: Moon Light Card

Tonight's Etsy find comes from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Lilah of Life in Lines challenged herself to draw this whimsical ink and pencil drawing in 20 minutes.

This original drawing of a cat gazing at the sky through tree limbs is glued to card stock. It comes with an envelope; all it needs is a heartfelt message.

Dream Cats tumblr

If you are having a down day or just looking for cute overload, check out Dream Cats on tumblr. Each day Anabela and Erin Jane select a cat photo from the Dream Cats flickr group.

The cats are so precious (yes, I have come to terms with the fact that I may become a cat lady). I could spend a day scrolling through all of the photos.

To make a suggestion, join the Dream Cats flickr group and upload a photo. The only stipulation is no cell phone pictures.

I might submit Misty's photo. What do you think?

A Misty Interlude

Many blog writers feature their feline helpers so I would like to introduce my cat Misty.

I am Misty's third owner. I do not know much about her past, She is a little too paranoid for it to be entirely normal.

Misty has seal point coloring. She is beautiful and knows it. When she is not chilling on her back she crosses her front paws like a princess. Misty is a vocal cat; she lets me know what she wants via meows, chirps and purring. She snorts when she is frustrated. People tell me if they did not know better they would think she was talking.

Misty insists on helping me write and craft, so I am sure she will be featured again.
