I have been preoccupied with my training. It has been a long time since I have been encouraged to learn. The beauty of my job is I will never stop learning. Libraries offer so much free data and information to the public; they're such a valuable resource. As Frank Zappa said, "So many books, so little time".
It is nice to be challenged.

Michigan History Resource
I know I just bragged (I mean, blogged) about the new additions to my library on Tuesday, but I am excited about this gem I found in the used section of the Okemos Schuler's Books.

As a Michigan advocate and blogger, The Field Guide to Michigan State History by Jan Leibovitz Alloy will be an excellant encyclopedia-style reference. Each entry is a short, informative article regarding Michigan culture and history.
And even better, my purchase supported a Michigan bookstore.

New Additions to the Library
I love to read. The majority of my books are in storage, and I cannot wait to get married so that I can organize them. I like owning books almost as much as reading them. The feeling of pulling a familiar book off the shelf to read is similar to meeting an old friend.
All of these books are meant to be creative resources. I did not pay more than five dollars for any of them.
