I have had a long summer. Because I work retail, I do not have a set schedule. We have been short-handed, and I have worked odd hours and eight day stretches. I need a vacation.
Luckily, my vacation starts Thursday at 6:30 pm. In order to prepare myself (and keep my sanity), I have staged a peaceful protest.
For the past week, I have not worn socks to work. It brings me a strange sense of calm.
